PhotoTours was born from a simple realization: great photography experiences shouldn't be limited to once-in-a-lifetime destinations.
How It All Started
Hi there! I'm Jordan, the founder of PhotoTours. A few years ago, I found myself in Saigon with my camera in hand, wandering the vibrant streets. As a photography enthusiast, I was capturing everything I could – the cityscapes, the people, the food – but I couldn't shake the feeling that I was missing something.
I knew there had to be more. I searched for local photography tours aimed at photography enthusiasts, that would show me the hidden spots without breaking the bank. I found a local photographer who showed me hidden spots, taught me about the best lighting conditions and angles for the location, and shared stories that brought the images to life. It completely transformed my experience of the city. Thanks Colm!
Excited by this discovery, I tried to find similar experiences for my next trips. But I quickly realized there was no reliable way to find these tours. Most photography tour sites focused on expensive, expedition-style adventures to exotic locations – amazing experiences, but not what I was looking for.
